Who are we?
Bow Valley Climate Action is a group of citizens who are deeply concerned about climate change. We live, work, or just spend time in the Bow Valley. We are in the process of registering as a not for profit society with the Government of Alberta. We expect the application to be approved in March.
How do we work?
We meet monthly to share ideas and discuss progress. We have a number of working groups that form around specific initiatives; we agree that, to the best of their ability, these working groups meet independently and separately, and come back to our regular monthly meetings to report progress, share success, and celebrate the achievements of the entire Action Group.
What do we seek to achieve?
We believe that individual as well as collective action on climate can make a difference. We seek to accelerate that action. Our goal is to galvanize citizen engagement in the Bow Valley, promoting civil citizen dialogue that spurs individual and collective action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
