What’s the Carbon Footprint of My Meal?
Climate change is closely tied to our food system: what we eat impacts the climate and the climate in turn impacts what we eat. There is a growing conversation locally and globally around determining the “carbon footprint” of the food we eat, meaning the amount of greenhouse gases that given foods release (directly or indirectly), contributing to climate change. But how, as residents, can we figure out what food choices have the smallest carbon footprint?
#FoodForClimate Social Media Challenge

Starting Earth Week, 2022, the Bow Valley Climate Action Society (BVCA) and the Bow Valley Food Alliance (BVFA) have teamed up to bring you a digital Facebook challenge that will help you understand the climate impacts of our food while being entered to win local food prizes!
